Hermes Agent is an open-source agent from Nous Research built around a learning loop: it creates and refines skills from experience, searches its past conversations, and builds a profile of the user across sessions. It runs on anything from a personal VPS to serverless cloud, spawns parallel subagents, works with any LLM provider, and reaches you over Telegram, Discord, Slack, and the CLI. Its procedural memory follows the agentskills.io standard; it is MIT-licensed and at v0.17.0 as of June 2026.
